Blog Marketing for Beginners – Wonderful!

True to my “blogging addict” self, I am back up blogging in the middle of the night – it is 1am now, but I’m still feeling so excited about what has just happened over the last 5 hours.

It wasn’t my first ever presentation about blogging. In fact, I’ve done it a few times before, in the Designer SEO workshop, but this is the first time the workshop was mine, that I am the “main trainer”.

Thank you so much, every one of you who attended the short two hour session on Blog Marketing for Beginners. I sincerely hope that that short two hours was informative and practical enough for you to get started with a blogger blog!

Now, just 3 photos to share

In 2 short hours, we all learnt:

  1. What exactly is a blog
  2. How you can start a blog is less than 15 minutes – I even showed you live how you do it, and thanks so much for the idea of drinking green tea to become an incredible hulk!
  3. How to market your blog

And… don’t forget why you people all need to start a blog before you sleep tonight!! Heh!

Alright now – time to get some other things done before I head off to bed.

Today’s item on my blog editorial calendar is about a great idea in implementation. Now did I implement a great idea today? At least, I reached out, and I did my best. 🙂

Comments

  1. Sounds like you had fun in that training workshop. I must try to find out more about this SEO thingy one day to complement my knowledge of other more traditional ways of attracting attention.

  2. Andrew,

I once attended a trainer-the-trainer workshop, and what I learnt was really – for every one minute on stage, there will be 10 minute of backend and off stage preparation. That is why over the last weekend I was so quiet on my blog. Heh! 🙂 But it all paid off well I guess!

  3. John – thanks, I’m sure if we all put in that keen effort, it will pay off! This workshop is very significant for me, since it is the first time I’m given the opportunity to be the lead trainer. With more experience in training, I really hope to reach out and be able to inspire and help more people!

  4. Congratulation to your first very OWN seminar!

I think you did Great. There’re lots of zeal and being one of the audience, I was quite “fired up” by your presentation.

You handled the questions very well too. I think you’ll make a great Blog Marketing Trainer!

I am looking forward to attend your Blog Marketing Workshop on Feb 10.

  5. Hi Kian Ann
Kudos for a successful introduction into blogging. Although I have started a blog, I still found some of your tips refreshing.

    Keep it up.

  6. Thanks Shi and June,

I owe the success of yesterday’s workshop to people like you two, who have been there to support me along the way 🙂 Thank you so much Shi. Thanks you so much June!

Now the chicken egg is broken loh!

  7. Hi Kian Ann,

It is still not not late for me to drop by to congratulates you on your 1st successful workshop. Well done and I look forward to hear more news from you again.

You make me proud of as MM grad, especially you are same batch with me. This feel doesn’t come to me long time ago.

Well done and keep it up! I am fully support on your workshop.

  8. Thanks Steven for your support! I will be doing the same workshop in KL (for the MM/CPT people in Malaysia) in May – so I’m really looking forward to it! 🙂

  9. Hi Kian Ann, good job and it didn’t seem like a first seminar to me. Your tips have been real interesting, and I am thinking of blogging for my restaurant (http://www.ministryoffood.com.sg). Too bad, my full time job and family commitment occupies up too much of my time, and I lack your kind of passion / energy. If you need any help for your future seminar, please feel free to ask. I will try my best.
