From a perspective of a trainer, every seminar or product has to be targeted at a particular group of people.
Perhaps this seminar is targeted at beginners in Internet marketing, and there are many of them out there.
Its true that there are a lot of WordPress resources online, and some may find that its easy to find these resources on the net, but others may not be as savvy.

Currently, it is cater for Malaysian market. For those who are from Singapore, I am sure you can find out with Kian Ann who also run blogging workshop in Singapore.
I totally agreed with Lifesperspective about we can learn WordPress online and this is cater for total beginners than internet savvy users.
