You know what? I’ve missed Blogtipping day for two months in a row! Man! Well, this is one of the drawbacks in living in the east of the earth – I’ll have to remind myself every 1st of the month, because by the time I read the blogtipping posts from the U.S. based blogs, it’ll be the second day of the month here.

Sheesh.

Anyway. No way I’m gonna miss Blogtipping on April Fools day! :P

Here goes!

Blogtippee #1: Cooler Insights!

  1. Great content about marketing and communications – much insightful and thought provoking!
  2. I love it when you post up with images and photos, sometimes photos do help your blog stand out from the ocean of text!
  3. I think its great that you take effort to put your photo up in the author bio – it really tells a reader who is saying all this and literally “puts a human face to a website” :)

And here’s the tip: It would be so wonderful if you could tweak the template more to go right away from the blogger defaults. The blogger templates are used by millions. By moving away from the blogger templates, you carve your own personality in blogging.

Blogtippee #2: Engtech!

  1. Amazing how you tweak the WordPress.com theme with CSS to achieve that design.
  2. Great content, and hilarious too!
  3. I like the way you always spruce up your posts with images and screenshots!

And here’s the tip: I noticed that your blog doesn’t have a specific description or headline to say what you are blogging about, “Engtech” probably comes from “Engineering and Technology” judging from the content, but I guess it would be great to have a short two liner to give a quick description of your blog.

Blogtippee #3: Back at the originator of Blogtipping – BusinessBlogWire!

  1. Great initiatives like blogtipping, SOAPing and everything. Wonderful!
  2. Easton, you are one great blogger that goes the extra mile – you embrace blogging not only as publishing, but really to build relationships. For example, when you posted about cyberbullying, you emailed me (and probably a lot others who know you) to post about it as well. Its wonderful. (I’m sorry, I haven’t posted about cyberbullying yet!)
  3. The know more media blog layout (which includes yours!) puts a lot of elements at the right places – RSS feed subscriptions, Ads, etc… and yet its still doesn’t look too cluttered!

And here’s the tip: I guess you’ve been busy (and hey, me too!), and blogging does take effort! The blogosphere really misses you, so erm… read less, post more, focus your efforts and spread yourself thicker? :P What about a more regular posting schedule, like twice a week?

Alrighto! :) Happy April Fools! :)
