An email from a blog traffic exchange

I received an email from a blog traffic exchange (yes, I was silly enough to do that when I started blogging), and its really really hilarious!

Free members will be able to earn $0.01 every hour for surfing 100 websites. Remember for you account to get the credit you must surf atleast 100 websites in a single hour.

Silver members will be able to earn $0.015 every hour for surfing 100 websites. Remember for you account to get the credit you must surf atleast 100 websites in a single hour.

Gold members will be able to earn $0.02 every hour for surfing 100 websites. Remember for you account to get the credit you must surf atleast 100 websites in a single hour.

So what are you waiting for?

Start surfing now.

Erm… Do the math! Who’s interested to make $175.20 surfing non stop (surfing 876000 sites!) for a whole year?

Gosh.

This is NOT a way to make money.

Totally agree with you. I participated in some of these programmes just for the heck of it but found that it was too mindless and boring after a while. As you would already know, my goal for blogging is not make tonnes of cash from my website. It is probably easier to have a real day job and do real work IMHO.

Haha Walter… I think getting a week or two burned in these traffic exchanges are part and parcel of getting started online. So we have been conned and cheated not only of our money in stupid programs that create 400 blogs a day (I still can’t get over that!), but also of our time :)

The program can be refunded… but time? :(

Link Exchanges were like the days. I think majority of people back then who had a website or a blog would probably have participated in them. And back then, not many would have known about link equity and stuff like that.

yeah Leonard - I think over the past year there has been a lot of changes in online marketing… its no longer about the numbers, but more of the quality.

    Yeah,

We are stupid at times to participate in this kind of time wasting activities. :)
I feel that link exchange do works and just like what kian ann had say, it is the quality of the link that count.

John, it looks so silly now right? Heh… When I started blogging last year January (not this blog), I think I spent one full week on traffic exchange surfing brainlessly! :)

Its good that we realise now :)
