Mike from Converstations was sharing about Long-Distance Coaching with CrossLoop.

Here’s what I got from the CrossLoop website.

CrossLoop is a FREE secure screen sharing utility designed for people of all technical skill levels. CrossLoop extends the boundaries of VNC’s traditional screen sharing by enabling non-technical users to get connected from anywhere on the Internet in seconds without changing any firewall or router settings. It only takes a few minutes to setup and no signup is required.

CrossLoopSounds great! I, for one, am one user frustrated over the inability to guide some of my friends visually. Some things are better shown than talked… and especially for computer related stuff.

So do check out Cross Loop. Its free! … and when you are there, do check out their blog as well.

I’ll definitely be using this in my future training and coaching. As Mike suggest, a combination of CrossLoop and Skype would be wonderful.

Update: I’ve just tried it across two computers in my home… and its awesomely simple to use! A definite add to my list of software… and yours too!

Update 2: I’ve done my first web coaching – with a fellow Singaporean. Its a bit laggy, but it works fine. I helped him solve his canonical domain issue. ;)
