Thanks Easton. The ethics and practises in world of professional blogging is indeed interesting... so much different from the over-hyped world out there about making money online :)

If you think something is worth telling your readers about, link to it. If not, don't. Don't force things for the search engines' sake. Great post, Kian Ann.

By the way I've recommended this article to my readers at my blog. You can read my recommendation at this link in the comments section;

I'll try and copy your writing style. So easy to read. Clear headers and short brief statements. I think the problem with my style is that I just go on and on and on (like now) LOL

I wouldn't agree more. I think there is too much focus and emphasis on search engines and this has affected the quality of content online.

I believe that you should also actively reach out to other bloggers by leaving comments at their sites (like I am doing here) without spamming.

I've just written an article that lists 7 ways to leave comments at other blogs. I hope more than anything else that this artice will help bloggers (me included) to get more genuinely friendly, even as we build massive traffic doing it.

[...] Blogopreneur | The one thing that every successful blogger does Are you building it for Google solely? Nope! In fact, you shouldn’t even be building it for Google. You should be building it for the human visitors that come to your site. Google is a great thing and it helps you get found, but really, if you have enough advocates of your site, you can survive even if you get delisted from Google, right? Focus on building this “fan base!”. [...]
