Page Rank and Alexa Traffic Ranking
Wonderful! I just realised today that my Alexa ranking has gone up to 353,226! It was just barely ten days ago that I mentioned that it just got below 500,000. I’m surprised that Alexa came back with a new ranking so quickly.
Not bad for a blog less than 2 months old, starting from scratch (without a prior authoritative site linking to this) hur! But I’ve really put in quite a lot of effort and work for this blog, posting so regularly to build up the content, sometimes up to 5 or 6 posts a day, and getting inbound links from others, for off page search optimization.
Blog less here and more elsewhere?
I don’t think I will be able to maintain posting at that rate though, and I figured I shouldn’t too, because it may be good for the SEs, but human visitors will probably visit my blog once a day even if you are a regular reader.
Maybe I’ll channel that energy into another blog. Maybe I’d write somewhere else on another topic for some income… or maybe even start a blog network amongst some of my friends.
Google Page Rank
Its wierd though, that my Page Rank is still stuck at 0. I understand that PR updates are like once in 3 months, but I’ve checked my future pagerank, and its also 0 on the different data centers of Google! Is there something I have done wrong?
In my previous trekking blog, I managed to get a PR4 when I was 2 months into the blog. I wasn’t so in depth into SEO at that time, I was just putting content and content and more content.
Anybody care to unravel why my PR is still stuck at 0? Is there anything I have done wrong?
What is important?
Actually… while PR does indicate to people how well Google rates you, it is important to know that it is just a measure. The best measure of a website, is how many visitors you have a day, isn’t it so?
