10 good reasons why Google loves blogs!

I’ve been wondering – there has been a lot going round about Google having a preference for blogs. Just to give a figure, I searched for “Google loves Blogs” (exact phrase match), and I got 901 results! Compare this to “Google loves Wikis” – 1 result. “Google loves forums” – 10 results. [...]

Alexa Ranking and Blogging Goals

Alexa has updated my traffic ranking again – this time to 262,259. Wondeful! While the jump is not a tremendous as the previous one, it is still an improvement! I was doing my homework, analysing the successful blogs on my daily reads, and I realise that some blogs have Alexa Rankings in four digits, [...]

Future Posting (Prescheduled Posts)

Easton from BusinessBlogwire posted some time ago about 5 Reasons to Preschedule Your Posts (and 5 Reasons Not to). Its a short and interesting read. Some blogging engines like WordPress allow you to “Future Post”, so on a good day where you have 10 hours of free time, you can write 10 posts and set [...]

Lasting across changes in Search Engine algorithms

I read this from Just Search today regarding the fact that search engines are changing. Search engines are changing, they have to so that they can return what they feel is the most relevant website for a given search phrase. Google coop and social book marking websites will encourage search engines to change as well as [...]

WordPress 2.0.5 is out!

Yae! WordPress 2.0.5 is out 6 hours ago! Time to upgrade. Do you keep up with the versions of WordPress, or are you laid back and don’t bother with the upgrade? Well, I understand its not necessary to upgrade, unless you are Google or Yahoo or have millions of enemies out there trying [...]

I understand that some blogging terms are apparently not very easy to understand, especially for the not-so-IT-savvy. Let me clarify. Well. To put it simply, A trackback or pingback is [...]

Do you consider these legitimate posts?

I’m irritated! Wanting to be on the edge of the news (or maybe, at least, the first ones to know), I was subscribed to Google Alerts to drop me messages whenever anything happens on the net about “Make money blogging” I got an alert with 3 sites. Guess what 2 of them are? Here’s one: And [...]

Alexa ranking up, and now number one in Yahoo!

Just for record purposes. Alexa ranking has gone up again! This time below 300,000! So happy. I guess since Alexa is taking a 3 month aggregate, it should stabilize after my first three months. Anyway, yae! Oh yes, my mentor also informed me that Yahoo! was just doing a database [...]
